You don’t choose your family. They are God’s gift to you, as you are to them. ~Desmond Tutu
Everyone has a family, fun, crazy, distant & even disfunctional.. As much as they may work my nerves, I love them anyway.. I love them cause they, always attempted to be there when I’ve needed & they help even when not asked.. Example: When I was going thru my cancer treatment in’08. I heard from & received cards, gifts & email messages from everyone everywhere..
Even tho I don’t actually get along with some, I still love them I can’t even imagine how different things would have gone during treatment had I not had my family being an awesome support system.. Yes there were some rough & tough times but we got thru it all.
Not everyone has a family to go to/call on when suipport is needed.. I jus think of a friend of mine who has a strained relationship with his mother, no contact with his father & minimal contact with his siblings… When something happens, he has friends that are his family and do what they can to help…I’ll never understand his situation & he’ll never understand mine when it comes to family…
Everytime I’m about to get frustrated or irritated with mine, I have to stip & remember, I’m blessed to have these people to be irritated with..
Functional or disfunctional, family is a blessing….

While at a womens conference today, a question was raised at the beginning. What is your passion? I had the rest of the afternoon to ponder this question as no one had ever asked it to me before. I really had go back to the definition of the word to start with what mine really is.
Pas·sion–noun 1. any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling, as love or hate
.
Now when I think more about it I realize there are so many things i feel strongly about that I’d like to do or be apart of. I’ll name a few..
1I’d like to get back to my singing or in some way back into music like I used to be. 2. I’d like to finish my degree. 3. I’d like to be more of an inspiraition to others than the fact that I already am by being a cancer survivor..(I gotta talk more on that later.)
That’s just a few… So I guess I should narrow it down to just 1 specific thing I’m passionate about, I think what I’ll do is explore each one to see where my heart lies the most. Thats gonna be hard because of how passionate I am about them all.
Time to get started
“If there is no passion in your life, then have you really lived? Find your passion, whatever it may be.
Become it, and let it become you and you will find great things happen FOR you, TO you and BECAUSE of you.”
~T. Alan Armstrong
